MINISTRIES

Through our special day offerings, we support Week of Compassion and other Outreach projects that go beyond the life of our local church.  We support Halifax Urban Ministries to care for those in need in our area.  We support the "Souper" Bowl offering that feeds the hungry.

 All of these efforts are due to the generous support of this ministry.

Our All-Church Picnic was held on May 18th.  The food was great and the fellowship was even better!  Enjoy the pictures courtesy of Jim Harrison - our resident photographer!   

Our SOUPer Bowl offering total from February 3, 2008 was $1,686.52. 

                                          These funds have been sent to Halifax Urban Ministries.

We hope to once again have our Youth serve a soup luncheon @ 11:30AM

 and to have entertainment provided by Steve Jeffries. 

OUTREACH UPDATE

A portion of the items collected for the 2007 Fall Food Drive. Stay tuned for updated photos of our 2008 Summer Food Drive during the month of June!                

The Pet Food Drive ran through August 12th!  All of the items collected were taken to the Halifax Humane Society.  Thank you for helping out our four-legged and finned friends by bringing in your donations.  We made four trips...each of which were as large as the one pictured below.  The Humane Society sent us four Thank You notes expressing their deepest gratitude for your donations!
