For more information on Disciples identity, visit:ABOUT US
Like most Christians, Disciples affirm:
Beliefs and Practices usually associated with Disciples include: Open Communion The Lord's Supper, or Communion, is celebrated in weekly worship. It is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ. Freedom of belief
Disciples are called together around one essential of faith; believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Persons are free to follow their consciences guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit study and prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others.
Baptism by Immersion
In baptism the old self-centered life is set aside, and a new life of trust in God begins. Although Disciples practice baptism by immersion, other baptism traditions are honored.
Belief in the oneness of the church
All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service.
The Ministry of Believers
Both ministers and lay persons lead in worship, service and spiritual growth.
Freedom of Belief
Disciples are called together around one essential of faith: belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The purpose of this church shall be as revealed in the New Testament to win people to faith in Jesus Christ and commit them actively to the Church. To help them grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ that increasingly they may know and do His will and to work for the unity of all Christians and with them engage in the common task of building the Kingdom of God. We invite each and every person who attends our services to be a part of this ministry called Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church. At the conclusion of each worship service, we offer believers in Our Lord, an opportunity to become a part of this fellowship either by becoming a full member or an associate member. |
